Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has revealed that, at least on Whatsapp, the Love Island 2022 gang has disbanded.
Ekin-Su, 28, said she had stayed in touch with the final girls, Indiyah Polack and Tasha Ghouri, on the messaging app after exiting the Mallorcan villa, although Gemma Owen, who recently split from Luca Bish, wasn’t involved.
However, since adjusting to her new normal, which has involved glamourous advertising campaigns and a new TV show with Davide, Ekin-Su has confessed she’s ‘too busy’ to catch up with her fellow Islanders.
The upcoming Dancing On Ice contestant revealed that there was ‘only one Islander’ remaining in the Whatsapp chat and it had been inactive for months.
She explained: ‘There’s still one Islander [WhatsApp] chat I’m in and no-one speaks on it.’
‘The last time everyone had a proper chat was two months ago. Everyone’s so busy and has their own relationships to focus on,’ she added to Heat Magazine.
But she did mention that while the group may be dead, she still messages Tasha and Gemma individually.
Fans were given a sneak-peak of Ekin-Su and Davide’s new documentary, Homecomings, which sees the loved-up couple visit their home countries of Turkey and Italy.
In the clip, the couple pack on the romance, with Ekin-Su being surprised on a Vespa trip, although Davide hasn’t driven once since he was 15.
They also told Metro.co.uk at the TV Choice Awards that the series will feature a couple of heated moments.
We had two little arguments,’ Davide told us.
Ekin-Su added: ‘I wouldn’t say they’re arguments, they’re bickering.’
‘We’ve not had a proper argument yet, we’re actually so much closer,’ she added, as he echoed: ‘We’re the copy and paste one of each other.’
Love Island is available to stream on ITVX.
